key 2323278 1920The Hendersonville/Asheville region and surrounding counties all experienced increases in home sales as of last November. This is good news for the area, particularly given the economic climate of this past year. Add to that a low inventory of homes, and Realtors® have had their work cut out for them finding area homes for clients. Despite these issues, there was no winter slump – far from it. The strong seller’s market ensured home sales showed marked increases in all areas across the region.

Our region has enjoyed significant sales increases across the board. And just as in previous years, metro Asheville dwellings remain in high demand. But affordability continues to be an issue that will need to be addressed. Buncombe County as a whole also experienced an upward trajectory of home sales statistics. As in the city of Asheville, low inventory is a concern. In Henderson, Haywood, and Madison Counties, the story is much the same with higher prices, more closings than last year, and fewer days on the market.

The challenge remains for Realtors® in this vibrant housing market to match potential buyers with desirable homes. And it isn’t just our area reporting increases in sales. Nationwide, the seller’s market trend continues to rise.
