Henderson County offers many options for both public and private education.
The Henderson County Public School system receives both state and national recognition as one of the
top districts in the state, and currently boasts 7 Schools of Distinction and an Honor School of Excellence.
The public school system consists of 13 elementary schools that operate on both traditional and year-round
schedules, 4 middle schools, 4 high schools, one charter school and one alternative school.
Additionally, there are five private schools.
